Webinar - Using Interns to Identify and Implement E2 Opportunities

This webinar was presented as a session at the 2009 Environmental Partnership Summit.  The presenters described how their programs have used interns to successfully find Energy Efficiency (E2) opportunities for several facilities.  For example, Kansas State University’s Nancy Larson will describe how one of the facilities they work with found E2 success through interns.  In two years 3 million kW/hour and nearly $300,000 saved, this facility now has a plan to save $6 million over the next few years.

NPPR Member Publishes Paper

October 8, 2009

NPPR member Richard Reibstein with the Massachusetts Office of Technical Assistance published a paper entitled “Using the Tools of Greenhouse Gas Emissions”. The paper mentions the NPPR report, “Road to Sustainability - 2004 - 2006″, and discusses the usefulness and need for companies to have a greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction plan. Reibstein further discusses how planning could be part of government regulation, either through as condition for receiving a permit or other approval. The paper was published with the Environmental Law Insitute (www.eli.org).

Pollution Prevention and Sustainability – Integrated Solutions and Multiple Outcomes
