US EPA Source Reduction Assistance Awards

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Regional Pollution Prevention Program Offices anticipate having up to $130,000 per region to issue Source Reduction Assistance awards in FY 2010 to support pollution prevention/source reduction and/or resource conservation project in FY 2011.  The Regions will issue the awards in the form of grants and/or cooperative agreements.  Proposals are due Thurdsday, February 4, 2010.

DfE Safer Product Labeling Program

December 4, 2009

In early November, EPA’s Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT) solicited comment by Monday, Nov. 30, on several draft changes to its criteria for participation in the DfE Safer Product Labeling Program. EPA will begin the process of revising the criteria but will continue to accept comments until December 10, 2009.

 

All comments should be designated by docket identification number EPA-HQ-OPPT-2009-0829. Comments may be submitted electronically through the Federal eRulemaking Portal (http://www.regulations.gov); by mail; or hand-delivered to the OPPT Document Control Office.

13 States Release States’ Principles for TSCA Reform

On Wednesday, Dec. 2, the thirteen states of California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon, Vermont and Washington released a document outlining their shared principles for reforming the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
