The National Pollution Prevention Roundtable (NPPR) has one internship opportunities available. NPPR has flexible scheduling for both students and recent graduates. Internships are unpaid, but provide interns with an opportunity to gain valuable experience with a non-profit organization focused on pollution prevention and sustainable practices. NPPR is located in Washington, DC, a short walk from Union Station.
This position will assist the National Pollution Prevention Roundtable in the planning and implementation of the core pollution prevention and sustainability efforts and programs of NPPR. Specific activities include; research of state, local, federal, and international policies, preparation of presentations, papers, and conferences, and assist in continual membership outreach. The intern will gain a broad background in pollution prevention, sustainability, and non-profit activities.
Interns are expected to have completed at least 2 full years of college level course work. Excellent written and oral communications skills, ability to conduct extensive research, attention to detail and excellent organization skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic computer skills, ability to work independently, demonstrated a commitment to pollution prevention and sustainability advocacy.
