Definitions
Waste -- Such substances, but not limited to, hazardous waste, industrial waste,
liquid
waste, other waste, refuse, rubbish, sewage, and solid waste.
Waste Minimization -- The process by which a facility conducts an analysis of a
production process to determine the waste minimization techniques which could be
implemented.
Blue Collar Jobs Act of 1992
- P2 Objective: Offers tax credits for voluntarily reducing waste stream by using P2
methods.
- Numerical Goal: 20% reduction of manufactures' TRI wastes, 50% reduction of
other waste.
- Assistance offered: Not specified.
- Reporting requirements: None.
- Incentives: A tax credit for current year plus every fourth succeeding tax year where
reduced amount is maintained.

Definitions
Source reduction -- Any Prctice which reduces the production of waste products
prior to recycling, treatment, or disposal.
Other wastes -- Measurable solid waste
products other than those reported under the Toxic Release Inventory and any substances
released in the air or in the water of the state for which a permit has been issued.
