Definitions
Pollution (hazardous) Prevention -- Changes in design, production processes, plant
operations, and raw material changes that reduce or eliminate environmental pollution.
Successful
pollution prevention efforts should minimize or eliminate transfers of waste among air, land and
water resources. This does not include incineration or treatment.
