Guidelines for NPPR Awards
Who can apply?
The MVP2 Project/Program Awards and the Best P2 Publication Awards are open to all stakeholders (all levels of government, industry, non-profits, etc.). The P2 Volunteer of the Year Award is only available for NPPR Members. NPPR members are urged to apply to all award categories since membership in NPPR denotes an additional commitment to pollution prevention. The awards are designed to recognize outstanding and innovative P2 projects/programs. As in years past, awards are judged on the following five broad criteria: innovation, measurable results, transferability, commitment, and optimization of available project resources. Third-party Judges are instructed to specifically look for applicants that demonstrate source reduction activities. Winning applicants are invited to attend a ceremony in Washington, DC where congressmen and others dedicated to pollution prevention will honor their achievement.
What is the deadline for applying?
The Application deadline for 2008 is Wednesday, July 2nd. Winners will be notified in August 2008. The awards will be presented during P2 week in September.
