Local Government
The Local Government Workgroup was established in 1993. This group’s goal is to strengthen the role and effectiveness of local government’s contribution to pollution prevention efforts across the country. It was pivotal in publishing a compendium of case studies on innovative local government pollution prevention initiatives as well as coordinating National Pollution Prevention Week promotional activities across the country. The group conducts local government training workshops.
