On March 7, 2019, WSI employees, and delegates from its parent company KAO, gathered at the Company’s Loveland, OH facility to officially receive from CEO John Walroth their most recent MVP2 award – the company is a repeat winner! Washing Systems has eliminated Nonylphenol Ethoxylates (NPE) from their commercial laundry detergents and replaced them with chemistries meeting EPA Design for the Environment (DfE) criteria, eliminated phosphates and EDTA, and replaced aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons with a non-hazardous, biodegradable, bio-based product. The company has reduced water and energy use substantially and saved a third of a million dollars a year through holistic attention to detail and a commitment to responsibility.
